Terms of Service

By creating an account on Aurino, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms form a binding legal agreement between you and Aurino.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of Aurino after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

To use Aurino, you must:

• —Be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may not use this service under any circumstances.
• —Identify as a gay or queer man, or be seeking connection with gay or queer men. Aurino is a space built specifically for this community.
• —Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
• —Not have been previously banned from Aurino for violating these terms.
• —Have a genuine intent to engage honestly. Creating an account with false information or with intent to deceive other users is a breach of these terms.

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet all of these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and genuine.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may only create one account. Operating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in the termination of all associated accounts.

Your username must not impersonate another person, organisation, or brand. Usernames that are offensive, misleading, or chosen in bad faith may be reclaimed by Aurino without notice.

Aurino is built on a single principle: every interaction should leave you feeling more human, not less. This principle is not aspirational — it is the standard we hold every member to.

You agree to use Aurino in a manner that is:

• —Honest: Your profile must accurately represent who you are. Do not use photos of other people, misrepresent your age, or fabricate details about yourself.
• —Respectful: Treat every person you encounter as a full human being. Engage with kindness, even when you are not interested.
• —Intentional: Be honest about what you are looking for. Do not pursue connections you do not intend to follow through on.
• —Accountable: When you leave a conversation, use the exit flow. Do not disappear without acknowledgement. Ghosting is a harm — Aurino is designed to make it unnecessary.

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

• —Harassment and abuse: Sending threatening, abusive, or persistently unwanted messages. This includes unsolicited sexual messages, repeated contact after being asked to stop, and any form of intimidation.
• —Unsolicited explicit content: Sending sexually explicit photos, videos, or messages without the explicit consent of the recipient, regardless of the platform's photo-sharing settings.
• —Discrimination: Any conduct that discriminates against or degrades a person on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender identity, HIV status, or body type.
• —Impersonation and fraud: Creating a profile using someone else's identity, photos, or information. Misrepresenting yourself in any material way.
• —Solicitation: Using Aurino to solicit money, services, or to promote commercial activity of any kind.
• —Minors: Any attempt to contact, solicit, or share content involving anyone under 18 years old. This will be reported to relevant authorities without exception.
• —Platform manipulation: Creating fake accounts, gaming matching algorithms, or coordinating with others to manipulate the service.
• —Illegal activity: Using Aurino for any purpose that violates applicable law.

You retain ownership of the content you create on Aurino — your profile text, photos, and messages remain yours. By submitting content, you grant Aurino a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

You are solely responsible for the content you share. You confirm that you have the right to share any photos or other content you upload, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We do not use your content for advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a risk to other users or the platform.

Our conduct system works as follows:

• —Warning: For first or minor infractions, we may issue a warning explaining the violation. Warnings are private and do not affect your ability to use the app.
• —Timeout: For repeated or more serious violations, your account may be paused for up to 30 days. During a timeout, you cannot access discovery, matches, or conversations.
• —Permanent ban: For severe violations — including harassment, sending unsolicited explicit content, impersonation, or conduct involving minors — your account will be permanently terminated without prior warning.

If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact us at legal@aurino.app. We will review your case within 14 days.

You may also close your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account.

Aurino is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aurino will not be liable for:

• —Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.
• —The conduct of other users, including but not limited to offensive messages, misrepresentation, or harmful behaviour occurring outside the platform.
• —Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
• —Service interruptions, outages, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under German law.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

For disputes arising from these terms or your use of Aurino, we encourage you to first contact us directly at legal@aurino.app so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany. If you are a consumer resident within the EU, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
